Same-day BLS & ACLS provider course

This BLS & ACLS Same-day Combo Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be a team member and a Team Leader in an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. Due to the number of advanced scenarios, this course is designed for renewal BLS & ACLS students. ACLS is geared toward healthcare professionals who direct or participate in managing cardiopulmonary arrest, other cardiovascular emergencies, or emergency response personnel.

What does this course teach?

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

Basic Life Support Provider course 

***This CPR course uses the updated 2020 AHA curriculum***

This BLS (CPR) course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be a team member and leader in an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. The BLS Instructor-led course teaches basic life support skills to single and team members for use in prehospital and in-facility environments, focusing on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

This course does NOT include First Aid certification.

 Course highlights the importance of:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an influential team member during multi-rescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team 

This American Heart Association (BLS) Basic Life Support course satisfies initial (first-time) & renewal (returning) students.

An American Heart Association BLS Provider certificate* (valid for 2 years).

HeartCode Basic Life Support Blended Provider course 

***This CPR course uses the updated 2020 AHA curriculum***

HeartCode BLS uses various eLearning assets, such as dramatizations, simulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. With AHA Blended Learning, the skills practice and skills test are taken together during a Hands-on Skills Session after the student completes the eLearning portion online.

This course includes psychomotor skills, such as CPR for Adults and pediatric victims. Students must complete an in-person skills practice and testing session to obtain an AHA course completion card.

Course highlights the importance of:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

Requirements to attend the BLS HeartCode Course:

When they arrive, all students must have a copy of their completed AHA Heartcode Online Completion Certificate (Part 1).

(This MUST be the official AHA completion certificate, not a "diploma" or other certificate from another learning platform.)

To obtain an AHA course completion card, all students must complete the HeartCode BLS online and participate in this hands-on skills session.

This course is the AHA BLS Hands-On Skills Session Only (Part 2).

You must complete the AHA BLS HeartCode online session (Part 1).

The American Heart Association’s ACLS Prep: ECG & Pharmacology Bundle conveniently combines both the ACLS Prep: ECG and ACLS Prep: Pharmacology eLearning Courses into one convenient bundle for students who are preparing to take an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course.  ***NOTE: This is not the required pre-course work for an ACLS Provider Course or the Heartcode Part 1 for the skills session.  This is a prep for those who are not familiar with ECGs and Pharmacology.***

Course Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, students should be able to:

  • List essential ACLS drugs and their usage
  • Identify ACLS medication doses and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Apply basic pharmacology to the ACLS algorithms
  • Explain heart anatomy and basic electrophysiology
  • Explain normal ECG measurements

This course is an online review of basic ECG and pharmacology information required to succeed in an ACLS Provider course. It does not replace the required Precourse Work for attending an ACLS Provider class; it is supplemental material to assist with preparations for those not familiar with the ACLS concepts.

The Administering Emergency Oxygen course gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency using breathing devices, including resuscitation masks, bag-valve-mask resuscitators (BVMs) and emergency oxygen

 

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

This is the most common kind of BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification needed by Healthcare Workers. It is required for working in the healthcare industry such as a hospital, clinic, nursing home, assisted living facility or any healthcare setting.

The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients.

This class is taught in a blended learning format, and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet) must be completed before attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon completing the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with access to the certificate and training history anytime and anywhere.
