Basic Life Support Provider course
***This CPR course uses the updated 2020 curriculum***
This BLS (CPR) course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be a team member and leader in an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. The BLS Instructor-led course teaches basic life support skills to single and team members for use in prehospital and in-facility environments, focusing on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.
This course does NOT include First Aid certification.

Course highlights the importance of:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an influential team member during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
- Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
This (BLS) Basic Life Support course satisfies initial (first-time) & renewal (returning) students.
Course length:
2-4 Hours (Depending on the number & experience of students)
Course completion certificate:
An American Red Cross BLS Provider certificate* (valid for 2 years).
*BLS provider cards are in E-Card format.
Provider E-cards are provided within 24 hours from course completion.
A $30 Rescheduling or late fee applies to all students who are late or miss a scheduled class.
