This Initial PALS course is geared toward healthcare providers who aim to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations reinforcing essential concepts.
What does this course teach?
- Basic life support skills, including effective Pediatric chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
- Includes realistic clinical scenarios that encourage active participation – delivered through actual pediatric patient videos and lifelike simulations
- Comprehensive and includes our systematic approach to assessing and treating pediatric patients in emergencies
- Hands-on class format to reinforce skills proficiency
The AHA PALS course requires completing pre-course work (pretest AND precourse videos). Full details of precourse work are included in your confirmation email after registration. Please email the Certificates and BLS provider cards to Info@cprxpress.com before the course date to avoid rescheduling*.
NOTE: If you do not have current or unexpired AHA, Red Cross BLS, or pre-course work in class, you must reschedule with a rescheduling fee.
***Attendance does NOT renew your BLS Provider certification***
Course length:
4-6 Hours (Depending on the number & experience of students)
Course completion certificate:
An American Heart Association PALS Provider certificate* (valid for 2 years).
*PALS provider cards are in E-Card format.
Provider E-cards are provided within 24 hours from course completion.
A $30 Rescheduling or late fee applies to all students who are late or miss a scheduled class.
(BLS) PROVIDER CARDS CAN NOT BE EXPIRED TO ATTEND
American Heart Association Provider Manual Policy:
You must have this course's current 2020 Manual textbook or digital (E-Book) version. However, you do not need to purchase one if you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class.
